I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the many...

I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me and mine through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science. From infancy up to the age of seventeen I was constantly under medical care, being with my grandfather, a physician, most of the time. Christian Science has, however, brought about a complete change, and for the past ten years I have enjoyed splendid health, having been healed of a skin disease in an aggravated form, also of heart and lung trouble. These physical discords disappeared very quickly through the reading of Science and Health.

Christian Science has been a great help to me in a business way. At the time of taking up the study I lacked confidence in myself, believing that every one else was better fitted than I was to earn a good salary. But I soon learned that my concept of confidence was wrong; that I lacked confidence in God, good. I was enabled during my first year of study to double my salary through realizing my true birthright as a child of God, as taught in Christian Science, and applying the Scriptural advice of the wise man: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

My experience has proved that Science and Health is indeed a "Key to the Scriptures," for it makes the Bible a new book, teeming with practical lessons for every day. Christian Science is a wonderful preventive agency, for just in proportion to our realization of unity with God we are made free. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Christian Science is this truth, and it is freeing mankind from every phase of discord. I am indeed grateful for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has demonstrated this truth for the liberation of all mankind.
