Christian Science has been my only physician for fifteen years, and has healed during that time all the ailments which have come to me. It has also overcome sorrow. One healing in particular stands out among all the rest, that of what is called lockjaw. This condition was first noticed at the breakfast table one morning, and from then on I suffered great pain. It was impossible to force the jaws open, and for several days only liquid nourishment was taken.

At that time I was young in Science and anxious to work this out by myself, but as a day or two went by and there seemed to be no change in my condition, I asked for help. Soon the pain ceased entirely, and in a day's time the jaws began to relax, so that by the end of the week I was able to use them normally. During this period no time was lost from my work. This demonstration was a proof to me that the only operation necessary is that of divine Truth and Love, which leaves us with a higher sense of God and of man's relation to Him; and this is the perfect recuperation.
