It is with the deepest love and gratitude to God that I add this testimony to the mighty strain of praise which is ascending to Him daily all over the world. Over seven years ago, when I was in great distress both mentally and physically, a friend loaned me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. During the two weeks that it took me to read the book, for I read very slowly, trying to understand all that it was possible for me to grasp in one reading, I was healed of stomach trouble, neuralgia, a deep sorrow, and the habit of using wine as a stimulant, which had been considered very necessary to help me through the duties of the day.

Since that time Christian Science has met our every need. We have proved that God protects us from harm at all times when we truly turn to Him. One afternoon my little son was run over by a carriage, the wheels passing over the middle of his body. He was picked up, and every one thought he must be seriously injured, but he declared he was not hurt at all, and proved it by walking three squares to his home. I asked him what he thought when the wheels were going over him, and he said, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." That was all he had time to think, for a crowd had gathered and some one wanted to undress him, as they were all sure he must be injured. He insisted he was not, and his sister also declared he was not, and said she knew I would want them to go home. My son played the rest of the afternoon as though nothing had happened, and at no time has he felt the least discomfort from the accident. We were very grateful to be able to prove divine Love's ever-presence.

My earnest desire is to grow in grace, so as to help others to understand this truth that is freeing mankind from all bondage. I have had many more blessings, which have been added proof of God's love and care for His children.
