When I first heard of Christian Science I had very vague idea of what it meant, but having exhausted medical help Idecided to see a practitioner and discuss the subject. For twelve years I had been a semi-invalid as a result of an injury to my spine. The whole of one year was spent in bed and a spinal jacket was worn for a number of years. Very often I was in bed for weeks at a time, and even when considered well was constantly having medical and electrical treatment and massage.

I had to rest on a couch a great part of each day, and suffered much from pain, headaches, and sleeplessness. After talking with a Christian Science practitioner I asked her to give me treatment, and received benefit, being being cured of sleeplessness at once. I continued the treatment for three weeks. and before the end of that time was feeling quite restored to health. During the past nine years I have never spent a day in bed, and have been equal to any exertion required. I have taken many long railway journeys without suffering in any way, while formerly I could only take a railway journey by lying down all the time, and even then suffered a great deal. We have had no medicine in our home since I began the study of Christian Science. All sickness and the effects of accidetns have quickly overcome through Christian Science.

It is impossible for me to express my gratitude for the change in my life, for the freedom from fear and worry, for my new understanding of God, of the Bible, and of the real life of man. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her courage and faithful work for mankind.
