Among the Churches

Current Notes

Stillwater, Minn.—Transactions were completed Tuesday [Aug. 21] whereby First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city obtained title to lots 25 and 26, block 19, known as the Brown and Farmer properites at the southeast corner of North Third and Mulberry Streets, as a location for their new church home to be built later. This site is splendidly situated, having 110 feet frontage on Third Street, facing the Public Library. It is centrally located and within easy access to all car lines. Cash was paid for the lots, and the congregation hopes to begin building operations in the near future.—Stillwater Gazette.

Burlingame, Cal.—The first service in the new edifice erected for First Church of Christ, Scientist, will be held next Sunday [Aug. 26]. The building is located on Oak Grove Avenue, near the county road. The church is a commodious structure, with Sunday school classrooms arranged on the sides of the main auditorium which will seat several hundred.—Burlingame Advance.

Quincy, Ill.—The entire debt on the edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, which was built six years ago, has been paid, and the building was dedicated Sunday [Sept. 2] with morning and evening services.
