It is with a heart full of gratitude that I write this testimony of my healing in Christian Science. Nearly five years ago, in Los Angeles, California, I turned to Christian Science after doctors had said my case was incurable. For nearly four years I had been suffering from a stomach trouble and was under medical treatment all that time. No less than a dozen of the best physicians examined me, and nearly all agreed there was no help for me, I was getting worse all the time, although taking material remedies constantly.

One day my wife and I called on some old friends whom we had not seen for some time. For several years the husband had been a very sick man, but when we called he was away at work, and his wife told us that he was well and that Christian Science had healed him; that she also was strong and hearty. After a while he came in, looking so well that I should not have recognized him had I met him on the street. He told us about his healing, and as it was Wednesday invited us to church with them. We did so, and what I saw and heard there made think! They told where the reading room was, and when I walked in there the next day struck me that Christian Science had more to than I had ever given it credit for.

I read the Lesson-Sermon over, and then bought a copy of Science and Health and asked where I could find a practitioner. The next morning my wife and I went to see the lady whose address had been given us. After the second treatment I ate just what the rest did for dinner, and have never had any trouble since. I cannot tell how thankful I am. If this testimony should help some one, as I hope it will, then I shall have done a little in return for what God has done for me.—F. D. Wait, Ackley, Iowa.
