Truly divine Love meets "every human need," as our Leader declares on page 494 of Science and Health. A friend who had been healed of lung trouble through Christian Science, encouraged me to take up the study of this teaching. I would read the literature, then let it alone for a while, but it was never entirely out of my thought. Soon after this I heard a minister preach against Christian Science, and right there made up my mind to buy Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," to see if what he said was true. I however found he was mistaken. After reading this book almost constantly for three days, I realized to my great joy that I was entirely healed, after years of suffering from hemorrhoids, stomach and bowel disorder, and nervousness.
It is about five years since then, and I have not taken any material remedy in that time. Not long ago I contracted a cold, and because of its severity feared acute lung trouble. I felt too sick to help myself, so a practitioner was asked to work for me. That night, and every night thereafter, I slept well, and the cold left without a fever or headache. Help has been received in many other ways. To those that are skeptical I would say, Study this book and find out for yourselves. It seems to me that Christian Science is what I have been searching for all my life.
For the physical healing I am indeed grateful, but more so for the spiritual awakening. I was led to love the Bible study through reading Science and Health, which is indeed a "Key to the Scriptures." Mrs. D. E. Wasson, San Dimas, Cal.
