It is five years since I first heard of Christian Science, and I am most deeply grateful to God that I became acquainted with its teachings. At that time I was in a hopeless condition both physically and mentally, and despite medical help things grew steadily worse. I could take scarcely any nourishment, was unable to sleep at night, and any attempt to work only made me worse the next day. life was to me a misery, and I almost envied those who were freed from their sufferings through death.

It was then that an acquaintance called upon me and drew my attention to Christian Science, whereupon I applied to a practitioner for help. Treatment was taken up lovingly and my condition soon improved; but much patience was needed on the part of the practitioner, as doubts would try to keep me away from the truth. Eventually, however, I did understand and realize that God is Love. Now I am well, feel stronger than ever before, and have had many proofs of God's protecting care. My dear mother has been freed of a serious stomach trouble of long years' standing, and she too enjoys good health.

I am very grateful for the spiritual uplift which has come to me, and my greatest desire is that I may make daily progress on the road which leadeth unto God.
