Sincere gratitude for Christian Science, the manifestation of divine Truth, impels me to give the following testimony: In August, 1911, a friend who had been sick, in bondage for three years, and left without hope after a serious operation, had a visit from a Christian Scientist, who lovingly gave her a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My friend immediately began to study the book, and became convinced of God's omnipotence. She informed me every week of her progress, and after five weeks I received the glad news that she was perfectly healed. She came to see me, as she knew that I myself was suffering with headaches, that I could not eat, and was very deficient in strength to do my work; in short, in a deplorable condition, without any hope of recovering my health, while every new drug instead of relieving me seemed to aggravate my troubles, so that no part of my anatomy was free from suffering.

I was filled with joy to hear of my friend's complete healing, and attended the Christian Science church. After the service, which impressed me very much, I inquired from a member of the church where I could get a copy of Science and Health. After studying this book two weeks I was free from suffering, and may say with a joyful heart that I was not only healed physically but benefited spiritually.

I give thanks to God from the depths of my heart, and also to Mrs. Eddy for having given to humanity a statement of truth which heals all manner of physical and mental discord. Trust in God is right, and where it reigns supreme nothing else is needed. I hope that these statements will benefit those who like myself are reacing the Christian Science literature.
