I have every reason to bless and praise the giver of all...

I have every reason to bless and praise the giver of all good for Christian Science. It has brought me blessings innumerable. It has healed me of serious illnesses. An acute attack of pleurisy was overcome almost instantaneously after the message was received for help, and many minor ills have been healed very quickly. Nearly eleven years ago two painful chronic troubles from which I had suffered more or less for over thirty years, and for which material remedies had been faithfully tried, were healed in ten days, and they have never returned. Surely I have experienced "the healing of the seamless dress;" and for this I am grateful to God, and also to our loved Leader Mrs. Eddy. Not long since I passed through deep sorrow, and with it came severe sickness, but thanks be to God, "which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Mrs. Eddy says, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494), and I am realizing the truth of these beautiful words more and more. I came into Christian Science wholly for the healing, for I was perfectly satisfied with my church, of which I had been an active member in various capacities for many years. After my healing in Christian Science I began to study its literature and attend the church, and I learned after a time that great as was the physical help which I had received, the spiritual was still greater, for I had never before realized in its fulness what was meant by the "pearl of great price." I have found Christian Science to be a religion unmixed with a belief in evil, and one that heals the sick.

During my professional life of nearly fifty years I had gods many, but did not realize it until I found the truth that makes free, and I am indeed "glad for every scalding tear" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 389), ill health, and other obstacles that compelled me to abandon my profession and seek the truth. I am rejoicing, and have been for several years, as a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, for which I am indeed grateful. I also want to express my deep gratitude for our literature, which is so wonderful and helpful, and I feel that the Monitor is our home and foreign missionary, helping to prepare the way throughout the world for the reception of Christian Science.
