[Written for the Sentinel.]

WITH THEE

One moment, Lord, with Thee—And I am whole! To cast out self and all my sin efface,To come so near Thee that I see Thy faceAnd feel the breath of Life and calm embraceOf Love's control.

One moment only—and my limbsAre free from pain! One moment—but it must with Thee be spent,Entirely, fully, with no stray thought bentOn worldly things. So find I sweet contentWith Thee again.
