I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done for me, as I had been an invalid most of the time since I was fifteen years of age. At times I would be very comfortable, then some disease would take hold of me and I would be in bed for months at a time. I tried change of climate and different doctors, but to no avail. My stomach gave me great trouble and for three years I did not eat any solid food.

I was very thin and very much discouraged.

I was in San Francisco at the time, and while there met a friend who had been healed in Christian Science. He was very much shocked at my looks and asked me what I was doing. I told him that the doctors could not help me any more and I did not know what to do. He asked me why I did not try Christian Science, and offered to take me to a practitioner. I went with him, and after three treatments I could eat anything I wanted and my stomach did not hurt me. In two weeks' time I was entirely well.
