I am a trained nurse, and my home is in Chattanooga, Tenn. While on duty in the winter of 1910-11 in Jacksonville, Fla., I had a very severe and acute lameness in my back. As soon as I could leave my patient I went to the Christian Science reading-room and asked the young lady in attendance for help. She called one of the practitioners over the telephone and told her that I was coming to see her as I wanted help. I felt relieved immediately, and finding myself limited as to time I went back to my patient and talked to the practitioner over the telephone, telling her that I was much relieved and had been getting better ever since she had been called. She replied that she began to declare the truth for me immediately. I was so relieved that I could work with comfort. Later I felt a return of the trouble, after I had dismissed the practitioner, until I realized again through her help that God rules; then I was free from any sense of pain from that moment. I am truly thankful for the light that Christian Science has brought me, and especially for the spiritual uplift.
