I am very grateful for the healing power of Truth as manifested through Christian Science. The proof of God's all-power which came to me was the healing of nervous exhaustion, tubercular disease of the glands of the neck, and an ulcer which I had for four years, although under medical treatment almost constantly. A specialist in Chicago said that I would be troubled with it the rest of my life, but the healing was accomplished in one year, and during that year and up to the present time Christian Science has been a daily help. I had been subject to very bad colds, sore throats, and coughs as long as I can remember. At times I would lose my voice for two weeks, but I have been able to overcome these conditions in two days with the understanding I have gained through the study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

I came to Christian Science for relief from the nervous disease and received help at once; that is, I experienced great relief from the first treatment, which was given by a friend who is a Christian Scientist. Then I had help from a practitioner and was healed of this trouble very shortly. I had one operation for the tuberculous gland before coming to Christian Science, at which time the gland was very much enlarged again. The help for this came very slowly, but it is entirely overcome.

I am very thankful for all this healing, but I am most grateful for even the small understanding that I have gained of the truth about God and man, and for being able through this knowledge to overcome mental and physical discord. I know by the overcoming and rooting out of all evil in myself I shall every day reflect more of the divine intelligence, more love and more goodness. I deeply appreciate the self-abnegation and love of our dear Leader. I am also most thankful for the Christian Science literature, which always meets some need.
