For over ten years I was afflicted with sleeplessness

For over ten years I was afflicted with sleeplessness. I spent a good deal of money for doctors and medicine, but without the least benefit; the last physician I consulted told me (after asking me numerous questions and examining me thoroughly) that I needed more outdoor exercise, not knowing that for twenty-eight years I had been engaged in farming and gardening. He then did the same as all the others, prescribed some narcotic, which I promptly threw out of the window when I came home, making up my mind that I was incurable. When a friend suggested Christian Science, I had no faith in it, but finally I consulted a neighbor who, after explaining its teaching to me, told me she was sure I would have my health fully restored, and I am happy to say that Christian Science did what all material remedies failed to do. This was over four years ago, and I never had a relapse. I sleep as soundly as anybody, and though I am now sixty-two years old I am fully able to do the work of a man half my age, and am convinced that Christian Science is what cured me.
