I would like to express my gratitude for the continuous help and pleasure that Christian Science has been to me for the past nine years. When I sought Christian Science it was for physical help. A dear friend who came from the West to make us a visit told me how she had been healed and made happy. A few months later I was in great need of this healing truth; I had been troubled with neuralgia when a girl, and it was thought to be inherited, as my mother had suffered from it most of her life and passed on when it spread to other parts of the body. When I was the same age I suffered in the same way that she did, and though a physician would be called, no relief except through opiates was offered me during these periods of suffering.

As soon as I could secure a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I began not only to read but to study it, and in a short time all my ailments had disappeared, even before I had gained much understanding of what I was reading. I loved to read it, and read little else for more than a year. I thank God for this wonderful truth, and Mrs. Eddy for bringing it to the world again.—Mrs. Maria Chaffee, Danville, Ill.
