About two years ago I was led to investigate Christian Science...

About two years ago I was led to investigate Christian Science through hearing a lecture in this city. As I passed out of the theater I was given a Journal containing a lecture, which I read several times. I then began to read the text-book, Science and Health, and in about one month a habit of twenty years' standing suddenly left me and I have not had the least desire for tobacco since. During the time I was using tobacco I had tried very hard several times to quit, with partial success, but I never lost the appetite for it.

I did not come into Science for physical healing, but I was searching for the truth and I am sure that I have found it in this wonderful healing and uplifting religion given to the world by Mrs. Eddy. It has been a great help to me in many ways, and I find that as I progress in the understanding of this Science, and put into practice its teachings, in that proportion do I receive blessings. I am indeed grateful for all these, but the best of all is that it helps me to be a better Christian. I now know that God is good, and that He does not cause us to be sick or sinful.
