One of the fundamental rules of Christian Science practice is: "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye." In keeping with this is a rule never to give aid through Christian Science treatment unless the patient asks for help. There may be some exceptions to this, as in the case of accident when no other aid is near. Another exception may arise when members of the family, who believe in the efficacy of Christian Science Mind-healing, ask for aid for a stricken member when other means have failed and he is unable to ask for himself.
