One of my daughters was ill since childhood from a supposedly inherited disease; at the age of ten and a half she was at the point of death, and no physician could afford relief. A woman whom I knew brought a Christian Science practitioner to our home, and she took the child from what seemed her death-bed. I protested, saying that the child could live no longer; but as the Scientist was so sure, I let her do as she desired. She took my daughter home with her, and the child was restored in Christian Science through the understanding of divine Love. She is now thirteen years old, and a healthy and strong girl—a testimony to the power of Truth to heal.
Mrs. Kasmer, Chicago, Ill.
In January, 1907, I went to live with a lady who explained to me about Christian Science and took me to the church. I began to attend the Sunday school here, and hope to continue until I am twenty. I wish to tell of my sister's healing through Christian Science, as mentioned by my mother. Before she was eight years old she had St. Vitus' dance, and for three years could not go to school. The attending physician said there was no hope for her. My parents were told that she could not live, that it would be better for her to die. For five weeks she was unable to swallow, and had no control of her head. On June 25, 1907, another physician was called, who said she could not live more than two days, and might die at any time.
