Cannon Falls (Minn.) Beacon

The Beacon is in receipt of a handsomely bound little volume containing editorials gathered from the press of the world touching the life and work of Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy, Judging from the tone of these comments, the attacks to which she was subjected during the last years of her busy and useful life but served to strengthen her in the esteem and veneration of the press. So far as we have reviewed the book, but one or two of the extracts give any evidence of having been written by the followers of Mrs. Eddy among the editorial writers of the country; the work evidently having been edited with a view to showing the appreciation in which this venerable writer, teacher, and Leader was held by the press aside from her followers. From this viewpoint it is truly a remarkable collection, and one we believe to be fully deserved by the Founder of Christian Science.
