I pray not for a day of rest,...

I pray not for a day of rest,
But long Thy will to do
In quiet way;
I only crave Thy sanction blest
In all I strive to woo
This God-giv'n day.

It matters not the praise of men,
For what the world doth say
Is vague and chill;
I only long to know that when
Twilight enwraps the day
I've done Thy will.
