Before coming to Christian Science I was very ill, and used medicine, electricity, hygiene, etc., without any relief. I had been confined to my bed twenty months, and had not taken a step in that time. It was then that we first heard of Christian Science and decided to give it a trial. After being treated two weeks by a faithful Christian Science practitioner, I was perfectly healed. I arose from my bed and walked across the room, then stood still, and with my mother gave God thanks. This occurred about nine o'clock in the morning, and at eleven I went to the dining-room, ate a hearty dinner, and to the surprise of all I was indeed effectually healed. I had not retained a particle of solid food for months before this experience, but have had no return whatever of either disease, and today am a healthy, hearty woman.

My husband also believes in Christian Science, and our little boy, over three years old, has never taken a drop of medicine. I have had some beautiful demonstrations in our little family, and have also been able to help others. I do indeed feel grateful for Christian Science, for the literature, and to those who have helped me to know this truth which makes free. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has so lovingly pointed the way, and my prayer is that I may be worthy the name of Christian Scientist.
