From childhood I had been troubled with abscesses in one ear, occasioning a very offensive and almost continual discharge. An eminent specialist declared that he could do nothing for me; that this disease would always trouble me. I listened to a lecture on Christian Science which was given in Calais, Me., and I was healed. From that day to this, nearly two years, my ear has been clean and the entire condition normal. As I had always regarded this as a chronic ill, I do not think I ever expected healing for it, so it was surely a case of "before they call, I will answer."

I cannot express the joy which this proof of God's power gave me; my life must express my gratitude.
