It is with deepest gratitude that I wish to tell what God has done and is doing for me and mine through Christian Science. I was healed in one week's treatment, six years ago, of a severe and almost constant pain in my side, from which I had suffered for over ten years. Through this treatment I was also healed of stomach and bowel trouble. My little boy of three months at that time was also healed in one treatment of rupture, which has never returned. Before taking treatment in Christian Science I was not able to do my own housework, but after the first week I did the washing for our family of four and was not in the least tired. I commenced to read the Bible, together with Science and Health by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and I knew I had found the truth which makes us free from sin and disease. I also learned at once that a sinful, sick mortal is not the image and likeness of God, but that the Bible declares that God made man in His own image, and that all He made was good. I questioned myself, and found I was very far from that likeness; then I commenced at once to cast out my wrong thoughts of God and man, and these words came to me from "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 341): "By that, you may know you are parting with a material sense of life and happiness to win the spiritual sense of good. O learn to lose with God! and you find Life eternal: you gain all."

I have yet many things to overcome; but I am striving, and I know that in time I shall overcome them. I am glad I have found how to overcome evil with good. I thank God with all my heart for Christian Science, and our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing us the way. I am one of those who are striving for the Mind of Christ.
