I have been an adherent of Christian Science for the past four years, during which time I have received many blessings. I came to Christian Science through the healing of my son, who was suffering from a severe nervous affection and heart trouble. Previous to this I was physically and mentally a broken woman, through the death of my dear husband in 1901, and I looked toward the future with great anxiety. Before coming to Christian Science I was almost constantly under medical treatment, but it brought me only temporary and partial relief.

I asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, was healed within two moths' time, and was physically and mentally a changed woman, looking forward to the future with trust in God. In March, 1908, while visiting my children in Berlin, I was taken with a severe attack of illness, with fever and severe pain in the whole body. My son immediately sent word to a Christian Science practitioner. In the afternoon I felt no better; but suddenly I was able to sit up in bed, and asked for some Christian Science literature to read. This was on Friday, and on Saturday afternoon the Scientist came to see me, and found me sitting up in bed and much better. I kept on improving, and I was able to go out for a walk on Monday. My children and I have experienced the blessing of the truth in many other instances, and have recognized that God is the only helper in every need. As I live out of town, it is not always possible for me to attend the Sunday and Wednesday evening meetings, but I read the Bible and Der Herold diligently. It always gives me great joy when through attending the services I have an opportunity to acquire more understanding of divine Truth.

I am thankful with all my heart to God, and also to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for having been freed from the troubles mentioned, and that I and mine have received these blessings through Christian Science.
