In March, 1908, I had an attack of illness which led to serious bowel and stomach complications. I was then in my seventieth year and had been told that I could not survive a stubborn case of sickness. My son-in-law and my daughter, with whom I reside, employed the services, during the first three or four weeks of my illness, of three prominent physicians, one of whom was a specialist on stomach diseases. At length my condition was pronounced hopeless by the doctors. It was said that I could live but a few days.

My son-in-law, who was interested in and had given some thought to Christian Science, urged as a last resort that I have Christian Science treatment, to which I consented. A practitioner was called and my condition made known. This was about eight o'clock in the evening. The practitioner said absent treatment would be given at once and that a visit would be made to me the following morning. I think I grew better from the first treatment, though the improvement was not perceptible until after two or three days. My recovery was gradual, the practitioner visiting me a number of times and continuing treatment for a period of six weeks, when I was perfectly well and able to be up.

Since my recovery I have enjoyed unusually good health, and my heart goes out in earnest gratitude and praise to God for this wonderful healing. I can honestly and strongly commend Christian Science to suffering humanity everywhere.—Mrs. Catherine E. Eason, Dallas, Tex.
