I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me. For about four years previous to coming into Christian Science I hardly knew what it was to be entirely free from pain. I suffered from different organic and functional ailments, and if not suffering with one trouble I would have another, consequently I was held in the bondage of fear continually. The least exertion seemed to induce suffering, and after trying every known remedy, including an operation, massage, etc., besides different medical doctors, and not receiving any more than temporary relief, I at last was persuaded to try Christian Science, although I had very little faith in it myself. I began to take treatment, but was almost afraid to trust it without taking drugs for one trouble. I however decided to do as the practitioner advised, and I soon began to improve without the use of any drugs. This was over five years ago, and I have not touched medicine of any kind since.

My healing was not as rapid as in some cases, and at times the way seemed very dark and discouraging, but by clinging steadfastly to Truth and the perfect idea, the dark clouds were dispelled and all was light again. I am glad to say that even with my slight understanding of Truth I am also able to help others, and for this and all other blessings I feel very grateful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
