It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I testify to the blessings which I have received through Christian Science. I first became interested in it over two years ago, at which time I was suffering from a bowel affection, asthma, and a cough which materia medica had faield to cure in the course of nine years. I had received only temporary relief, but these ailments have been entirely overcome by the earnest persual of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Through Christian Science treatment I have been able to lay aside glasses which I had worn for more than sixteen years, in fact I had been obliged to use two pairs. My gratitude and happiness are unbounded, not only for the physical benefits received, but Christian Science has also enabled me to overcome worry and a sense of grief which bordered on melancholy. In Science and Health we read this glorious statement, which has been proven to me: "There is no power apart from God. Omnipotence has all-power, and to acknowledge any other power is to dishonor God" (p. 228).

I am striving daily to learn more of this blessed truth which makes men free, and in place of gloom there is now health and happiness. My gratitude goes out to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whose teachings we gain an understanding of Christian Science.
