Christian Scientists seek to behold the good in their neighbor, rather than delve for imperfections. "Love thy neighbor as thyself" is Biblical, and when we realize that the God-made man is spiritual and perfect—made in His image and likeness—the admonition becomes easy to follow. When discordant things manifest themselves, we know that these imperfections are concepts of the human mind, and are no part of God—the only Mind in reality—and no part of God's image and likeness. Therefore, when unwarranted fulminations are hurled against our religion and at our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, we try to manifest only Love.—to realize that God's child has not voiced the unkind and unloving thoughts, but that something unlike God has been permitted to creep in and take temporary possession where Truth and Love alone should rule.
