I was ill for six years, the greater part of that time able to do but little, and part of the time nothing at all. I had tried first one remedy, then another; but everything failed. Finally the physicians said I would have to go through an operation; which I did a little over two years ago, but it was not successful. I grew gradually worse for six months, at the end of which time I was examiend by three prominent physicians in this city, and they all said that I must return to the hospital immediately for another operation, or I could not live long. I refused to go back to the hospital, knowing I could find no help there. Christian Science was the only thing left, the only possible chance for me to live, so I decided to try it. I took treatment for six weeks at the end of which time I returned to the physicians to know if I was not all right, and they told me that I was. I knew I felt all right, but I wanted to know what they would say. I had several forms of organic trouble, a growth being the most serious, besides very bad stomach and bowel ailments.

It is now nearly two years since I was healed, and I have never had any return of any of the old difficulties, and have never tasted medicine since. Christian Science has proved itself by far the best medicine in our family. My little boy was cured of a fever in three days. We did not know what it was until the third day, when we sent for a practitioner at once, and the next morning he got up well. We have had many other beautiful demonstrations in Christian Science, for which I am very grateful indeed. Words could not express my gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful truth that does make free.
