A little over two years ago, I was stricken with a severe attack of fever. In my home there was great opposition to Christian Science, so much in fact that I immediately left and went to the home of a Christian Scientist in an adjoining town. I had been interested in this teaching for about two years, and had no faith whatever in materia medica. During the first week of the sickness I arose each morning between six and seven o'clock, dressed myself, and went downstairs and rested in a chair all the forenoon, unless aroused by some one. The usual symptoms of this disease presented themselves, but by the second week I was able to realize the truth more fully. The fever began to leave me, so that I could take a little nourishment, and my strength never failed me during this sickness. The third week I began to eat heartily, and was coming to my-self again. The fourth week I was able to return to my home and begin work, realizing that Truth had carried me safely through this experience, and that I had been raised from sickness to health by the power of God. I thus proved that divine Love is "adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease" (Science and Health, p. 412).

I am grateful for this deliverance and for all the blessings that have come to me since. I know that the truth which was practised on the shores of Galilee by Christ Jesus and his disciples has now been brought to us in Christian Science, made applicable by the teachings of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and that it meets all the needs of suffering humanity.—Geo.
