It is with a sense of deep gratitude to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I take this opportunity of telling what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. It was about four years ago that I first heard of it. I was then an active church-member, and was very much against what I then supposed to be the teachings of Christian Science. I was, however, healed of an infirmity which I had had from childhood,—a swollen foot, which gave me great pain whenever I walked any distance, and often I would not be able to put my shoe on at all. I could get no relief from material means and thought I should always have to suffer from the foot, but this complaint was healed by the truth. I have no difficulty now whatever from it, and can walk any distance.

Other ills have since disappeared by the understanding of the truth as taught in Christian Science. I never knew in the old thought what it meant to be free from worry, but now I do not know what it is to worry, and every day I have more to be grateful for. Divine Love is my daily support and "I know that my redeemer liveth." I have never been so happy in my life as since I took up the study of our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I am indeed grateful for the physical healing, and for the spiritual uplifting,—the clearer understanding of God, good. As one sees the noble work which our Leader is doing for mankind, is it any wonder that the heart goes out to her in loving gratitude? She has made the way so clear that all who will may partake of this glorious truth.
