I wish to express my gratitude for two healings which I have had in Christian Science. One Sunday morning, as I was getting ready for church, I was taken with such severe pains that I nearly lost consciousness. It seemed that the conditions were the same as when I had an attack of appendicitis, only much worse. My husband called a practitioner by telephone, and inside of half an hour I was healed, dressed, and on my way to church.

A month or so later I had a severe attack of illness, so that I lost my hearing in the right ear. As I am a business woman, this seemed a dreadful misfortune. We called a practitioner, who started at once to treat me. The pain left during the day, but the hearing was not yet restored, and I had to watch the faces of those around me to guess what they were saying. At the end of the week I could hear perfectly, even better than before. To me this was a wonderful healing, but the restoration of my hearing was only a part of it. I received such an uplift spiritually that I thank God for it, and I also thank Mrs. Eddy for all that I have received through Christian Science.—Mrs. Emma Miller, Oak Park, Ill.
