To illustrate the benefit one receives from defending the truth or from agreeing heartily with its defense, I will tell of my own healing. I had been a sufferer from chronic throat trouble before taking up Christian Science, and afterward the attacks gradually diminished both in frequency and severity, but after an exposure to extreme cold I suffered the most severe attack I had yet experienced. Others failed to help me, and I was almost overcome with fear and nearly discouraged when I received the Sentinel of Dec. 19, 1901, which contained an account of the legal proceedings of Rex vs. Lewis. The whole account was read to me, and I was so overjoyed at Truth's victory that I entirely forgot my trouble. When I remembered later, I found that it had completely disappeared, and there has never been even a suggestion of its return.
