In 1890 I first heard of Christian Science, and I now wish to express gratitude for all it has done and is continually doing for me. I am thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for the wonderful truth contained in Science and Health, a "Key to the Scriptures" which has opened up to me that sacred volume, for I never before understood the Bible as I do now.

For many years I was in a miserable condition of health, often suffering intensely from stomach and bowel trouble, together with great nervousness, weakness, etc. I immediately felt the beauty of Christian Science, though my healing was somewhat protracted. When the road has seemed rough, this passage from Isaiah has helped me most wonderfully: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." I am sincerely grateful to God for this beautiful teaching, and to the dear Founder of Christian Science, whose daily life is an example for all, and an inspiration to follow in her steps as she follows Christ.
