MY HOME AND CHURCH

This is my home,—the consciousness of good,
Filled with the love of all earth's brotherhood—
A quiet resting-place, safe and secure;
A home which hath foundations and is sure.

This is my church,—the consciousness of Life,
Wherein Love hath destroyed all hate and strife,—
The church that gently calls: Come unto me,
And ye shall know the truth that makes men free.

Father, all-wise, this home and church of mine,—
Teach me to see that they are gifts of Thine;
And may I know that every thought must be
Within my home and church,—a thought of Love—of Thee.
