I have depended on Christian Science for help since 1897, and have had many difficulties overcome by the understanding of divine Principle, as taught by Mrs. Eddy, but at this time I will only give an experience of recent date. For the benefit of those living outside of California I will say that we have in this valley a barbed grass which seems to work itself into everything that it is possible for it to penetrate. In attending to the work a barb in some way became imbedded in one of my nostrils so that it could neither be seen nor reached. I had no fear of the outcome, but did not feel able to overcome the trouble myself, so I telephoned to a practitioner for help, and went right on with my work. In just two days the barb came out, and there were none of the usual disagreeable symptoms during this time. For this, and for all the other help that I have received in Christian Science, I am thankful to God, and also very grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has given her saving apprehension of the truth about God to the world.
