With loving gratitude to God, and also with the thought of helping some one to see the truth in Christian Science, I give my testimony. I have been reading and studying Christian Science for more than ten years, and have had many proofs of Truth's power to heal the sick and to help in every time of need. Recently I had one of the most convincing proofs in a demonstration over what seemed to be blood-poisoning. My hands, head, and face presented an alarming appearance. The fear came to me that this was something very real and hard to control. So alarming were the manifestations that I decided to ask a practitioner to help me for a few days. I did so, and all the bad symptoms and the general disturbance of the system were soon controlled by the treatment. Although there seemed to be much inflammation, there was no fever and very little pain, and that was soon destroyed. My appetite was perfectly normal; in fact, with the exception of the swelling, which prevented me from using my hands freely, I felt perfectly well. I knew that this seeming was no part of my true being, and could not touch me any more than a cloud could touch the sun. I knew that divine Mind is manifested in health, harmony, and all that is good and perfect. I knew that divine Mind is the only Mind, and in God there is no hate, envy, jealousy, or poison. With a clear realization of this truth the error was destroyed in a few days, and for this and for many other proofs of God's allness I lift my heart in thankfulness and praise for the truth revealed to us through our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
