THE LECTURES

Hon. Clarence A. Buskirk lectured on Christian Science, Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Orpheum Theater to a large and attentive audience, under the auspices of Third Church of Christ, Scientist. The lecturer was introduced by Mr. William S. H. Robinson, who said in part, —

Before yielding the platform to the lecturer, I desire to speak very briefly of the motive in giving this lecture. That we wish to inform the public, has been stated; that we desire to see our denomination increase in numbers, may be legitimately inferred; but there is another and deeper motive, which includes these only as the greater always includes the less. We have invited you here in acknowledgment of the priceless benefits we have derived from Christian Science, and in testimony of our love for and loyalty to the teachings of the Lord and Master of us all, whose name we bear as Christian Scientists.
