It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I offer this testimony of my healing through Christian Science, more than nine years ago. About a year before this time a friend of mine had been healed of a severe and painful malady through Christian Science. While I was satisfied that Christian Science had healed the case, I was not willing to admit the fact. Shortly after this healing I heard a clergyman deliver a sermon against Christian Science, and as his statements did not agree with those of my friend, I concluded to investigate for myself. I was urged to read "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy, and as a result of the gleam of light gained from this reading I was healed of serious eye trouble, one phase of which had been with me from my earliest recollection. I was enabled through this healing to dispense with the use of glasses, which I had worn for more than eight years. Through the instrumentality of one of our Leader's students I was healed of stomach trouble, and nervous spasms, from which I had suffered for ten years; also of many minor ailments. I have felt the healing touch of Truth morally and mentally, as well as physically, and I take this opportunity to express my appreciation of the literature of Christian Science. I thank God with all my heart for this truth, and for giving its inspiration to one who, through her unselfishness and untiring efforts to help mankind, has been able to bless many of every race and clime. I am truly grateful to our dear Leader for all that she has done for me and the whole world besides.
