Since it is admitted that Christian Science does heal and since this healing is accomplished on the basis of the unreality of disease, is it not reasonable to expect that sin may be overcome on the same basis? Those who have been healed by Christian Science and have then taken up the study of it admit that the spiritual benefits that come to them are greater than they had previously experienced, though they may not have yet risen to the standard attained by some of the devoted Christians in the other churches. It would seem that there is enough evil and sickness in the world for us all to combat without trying to disparage the methods used by others. It was formerly thought that to give up the idea of a hell of literal fire and brimstone would make people indifferent to Christianity, but the idea that God is Love has done more to uplift mankind than the doctrine of eternal punishment ever did. Similarly may not the idea that sickness as well as sin is unreal and that Truth and Love is the only reality, enable men to rise above all evil?
