I have received so many benefits from Christian Science that I feel I would like to add my testimony to the many that have already been given. I came into Christian Science through the healing of a sister who had been under the doctor's care for many years with very little benefit. Since that first awakening to the truth I have been healed of diseases of the most distressing kind. I was also healed of a very severe and abnormal condition of my left foot. I suffered terribly, so that it was very difficult for me to walk, and I could not wear a shoe without pain. At last I asked a doctor what he thought could be done. He said he knew of no cure, and no relief but amputation of the toe. I would not consent to this, and turned to Christian Science. After about six weeks' treatment I was entirely healed. This was nine years ago. For this relief I am of course very thankful, but I am most grateful for the spiritual understanding of the Bible gained through reading Science and Health. I had never read the Bible before going to the Christian Science church, but since then I have read it each day, and find my real joy is in gleaning some new thought from its pages.

I cannot close without speaking a word about our beautiful Mother Church, which I had the great privilege of seeing in June. To my sense it is perfect in every detail, and stands as an everlasting monument to Christian Science as a healing religion. I was very much interested in watching the throngs of Scientists, and thought, as I stood in the crowd, What do these people stand for in the sight of the world to-day? The answer was, In proof of the healing done in Christian Science, and because of their thankfulness to God and gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. My wish and desire is to be more loving and kind, and to be true to the teachings of Christian Science.
