Of the many blessings I have received through Christian Science...
Of the many blessings I have received through Christian Science I wish to tell a few. Among the first was my own healing of several chronic diseases of twelve or thirteen years' standing,—lung and rheumatic trouble being among them. I received absent treatment in Christian Science one day, and next day not a trace of these ailments was left. On several other occasions help was received immediately. I have been able from the first to make demonstrations for myself and others. The first proof I had that any one can make this truth practical was when our oldest boy was under treatment. Our local practitioner had given me a Journal to read, and one night I waked up with a severe sense of suffering. I began to speak about my throat paining me, but remembered the words I had read during the day,—that God is all,—and the same instant the pain was gone. Such a sense of peace and joy came over me that I lay awake till well nigh morning, and after this experience I tried to put into practice all that I knew, gaining a little each day, and at the same time teaching my children to put it into practice too. Three of them, ranging from nine to thirteen years of age, have made some good demonstrations. I have been studying Science and Health now for five years, also our other literature, and have depended on this truth entirely, never using any material remedies whatever, and getting along much better in every way than we did in the old thought.
I can never express in words how grateful I am to Mrs. Eddy for the help we have received. With many others I must say the physical healing is the smallest part of Christian Science; the spiritual uplifting is worth many times more. I find my greatest joy in helping others. I could tell of some good done through Christian Science every day.
Mrs. Rose Cruey, Rantoul, Ill.
