Christian Science gives an understanding of God through...

Christian Science gives an understanding of God through which we may eliminate, slowly perhaps, but surely, every element of discord from our lives, but to make those unacquainted with Mrs. Eddy's interpretation of the Bible comprehend what it is to us, seems difficult. The first honest attention I gave the subject revealed a consistency and logic so new to my concept of religion that I was deeply interested, and at every spare moment I read the text-book of Christian Science. During a period of three years my progress has often seemed slow, but there recur, those moments of spiritual vision which mark sure advancement. Briefly, the old unsettled state of thought, that desired constant diversion and entertainment, is gone. Every physical ill which has appeared since taking up the study of Christian Science, has been healed by Truth alone; also a chronic disability dating from birth and an organic trouble of rather serious nature, these latter being healed through the help of a practitioner. The birth of a child, which from a medical standpoint was impossible without serious injury to mother or child, was comparatively easy, and my complete recovery very rapid. A healthier child than my fifteen-months-old boy would be hard to find. The bitterest prejudice toward one whom I should have loved, even from a human standpoint, has been entirely overcome. I have learned that the question of supply is a matter between God and myself alone, and by that I do not mean that my husband is not a capable business man, but that as I realize the truth I am learning that because God is all-sufficiency His child cannot feel apprehension concerning any human need.

I wish to be ever alert, and to be a ready instrument in God's hands to help spread the light which our much-loved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has made again available to humanity after centuries of obscurity.
