A THANKSGIVING SYMPOSIUM

[From a Thanksgiving Symposium in the Raleigh, N. C., Daily News and Observer, in which nearly a hundred prominent persons gave expression to their reasons for thanksgiving, we copy the following contributions, as being of special interest to our readers.—Editor.]

We are thankful because we live on earth to-day, when Mrs. Mary Baker G. Eddy, the woman who, learning of God how His Son, the Founder of Christianity, healed the sick and sinful and raised the dead, is, through her life of works and love, establishing this rule in Christian Science for all the world: that learning also of God, they may understand these words.

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me [Spirit]." Exodus, 20:3. "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." John, 14:12.
