When I reached the St. Louis Exposition, in May, 1904...

When I reached the St. Louis Exposition, in May, 1904, from South America, I knew nothing whatever of Christian Science. I was then anticipating two operations, one for cancer in my right breast and another for an abnormal growth in the abdomen. The lady with whom I stopped had received help through this truth, and she advised me to try it for my troubles. The excitement of getting our exhibit in proper shape, and numerous disappointments, had brought on great nervousness and neuralgia of the face.

My friend told me of a Christian Science practitioner in Denver, and I wrote to him for help. The pains in my face were overcome almost immediately and in less than three months the cancer was cured. Shortly afterwards the unnatural growth in the abdomen disappeared, as did also the nausea caused by it. The practitioner and his wife wrote me most helpful letters, telling me of the healing power of Truth, which had been revealed to Mrs. Eddy through her pureness of heart, and of the Science which she had given to the world.

I have passed through deep waters in business and financial matters, and my daily comfort has been Christian Science. My desire is to continue to advance step by step, and to be obedient to all our dear Leader's teachings. I am very grateful to my heavenly Father, and to Mrs. Eddy for the blessings received through Christian Science. I feel that divine Love led me to the United States, where I have learned that God is all-powerful and ever-present and that He never fails us.—Alice Jacobsen, Brooklyn, N. Y.
