The Lectures

"Read all the books on philosophy since time began, and they will not enable you to heal one case of locomotor ataxia in its worst form. Read all the medical books and all other books, aside from Science and Health, and you cannot, as a result thereof, cure one instance of malignant cancer. This book has taught people how to cure hundreds of such cases, and they have done it."

This was one of the remarkable statements made by Edward A. Kimball of Chicago, in his lecture on Christian Science last night before a large audience assembled at the National Theatre. Mr. Kimball showed himself to be thoroughly familiar with his subject and entirely in sympathy with its teachings.

The point of his argument in behalf of Christian Science was that both sin and disease are unnatural and contrary to the law of God, and may be removed by the application of Christianity scientifically applied.
