LOVE OVERCOMES ERROR

Sometimes when we are going through what seems to be a difficult experience, we may feel that God has forgotten us and that we are separated from His love.

When, however, we realize our true relationship to God—that we are His children and that He is unchanging Love—we find that no matter in what distressing circumstances we may be placed, we can know and prove that we are the object of God's ever-present tender care. On page 567 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes, "Truth and Love come nearer in the hour of woe, when strong faith or spiritual strength wrestles and prevails through the understanding of God."

John, the beloved disciple, declared that God is Love, and this is one of the synonyms which Mrs. Eddy gives us for God. The Bible informs us that God made man in His image and likeness and that God is Spirit. Therefore the man of God's creating must be spiritual, reflecting spiritual qualities and ideas, and is not composed of material elements.
