"EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES"

Throughout the Bible we find references to promises which God has made to His children, promises of health and freedom, of abundance, of immortality, of protection, of home, of heaven, and of victory over evil.

Solomon stated of God in his prayer at the dedication of the temple (I Kings 8:56), "There hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant." Peter wrote of "the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord... whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises" (II Pet. 1:2-4).

The practical value of the Bible as spiritually interpreted lies in the assurance that these promises are true, that they are intended for all mankind, and that they are available today.
