A DAY TO REMEMBER
A thoroughly discouraged man once came to a Christian Science practitioner for help. This man was the picture of pale-faced despair. Everything seemed to be going wrong. For many weary weeks and months he had been looking vainly for employment. His funds were low. His family was suffering. One sleepless night followed another. He must get a position.
"But you can't," said the practitioner.
The man who had heard so many people tell him this very thing could not believe that a Christian Scientist would say such a thing. But the practitioner went on to explain that no one can get anything if he already has it.
